Totem was an art series I created in 2014 inspired by aboriginal alaskan art. It used basic elements of symmetry, color, and layered shapes to create characters.
All the wood was reclaimed materials, and all the painted symmetry was done free hand with no measuring, or pre sketching.
originally there was 12 pieces. They have mostly all been sold except for a few.
One of my all time favorite projects. The Piper was a 16x12 floating kava kava hut. We served cold brewed Kava root, kombucha, and floated around Woodward reservoir for 4 days straight. One of the most glorious moments in building the ship was the last push on the build we cast off into the lake at 4 in the morning with all our materials, and tools on board, set anchor 1/4 mile off shore, and built till the sun came up all the while listening to great tunes on the record player.

Nømad was a photo shoot we did on January 1 2015. It was a step out of time on the waterfront property of the Heartland ranch near Nevada city.
Its goal was to capture the feeling of a wandering tribe of nomads in a distant land.
